Ritter Sport Chocolate Bar Wrapper

This alluring wrapper was created as an assignment from The Lettering Seminar taught by Martina Flor. I hand-lettered and vectorized this festive message in a bold, vintage style to embody the elegance and cheer of the Christmas season.
After many iterations incorporating rounds of feedback, the design received praise from instructors and fellow students.
"Congratulations Beth, for this nicely composed canvas. I love the high contrast for this Christmas message. There's a little bit of funky, a little bit of fifties style there. And I think that works fantastic for this purpose."
Elías Prado, The Lettering Seminar Instructor
Initial Letter

I designed this ornate initial letter to show appreciation for my sister. Since her first name is Alex and her middle name is 'Rose', I created a simple rose decoration around a bold capital inspired by medieval letters and gothic calligraphy.
Merry Christmas

I lettered this festive card as an opt-in for my email newsletter in November 2025. I used a brush pen for the script and added an inline and light rays digitally to create a retro feel.
Go Birding

I wanted this design to convey how passionate I am about birding and studying nature. The letters are textured to look like wood and two birds perch on either side.
Members of a nature club, bird lovers, or attendees of a state park would be stylish in this t-shirt!
Bleak House Chalk Sign

A vintage calligraphy style script and lush roses are the perfect way to decorate for a Dickens birthday! I created this sign to bring the viewer back to 1830s England.
The copperplate script and the birds perching on the roses evoke the contrast between the courts of law and the people whose lives were affected by the Jarndyce case.
"The sign Beth made for my birthday was beautifully done! It was the perfect addition to the decorations and tied everything together."

Welcome to Middle Earth Chalk Sign

The perfect sign for a Middle-Earth themed birthday party! Positioned to welcome guests as soon as they entered, this sign set the mood for the party. It's full of details and includes a map I drew in the center.
I colored the sign with chalk markers and made the map with a calligraphy pen on paper. Incorporating many elements and keeping the design cohesive was a challenge, but limiting the color palette unified the sign.
"I was extremely impressed with the final artwork for my girls' Lord of the Rings birthday party. Beth exceeded expectations and did an exceptional job on this large piece of artwork. It looked absolutely stunning the night of the party and received many compliments from the guests."

"There and Back Again" Hobbit Chalk Sign

A phrase from the book The Hobbit wraps around the iconic hobbit hole door. The flowers and calligraphic lettering capture the whimsical and rustic atmosphere of the Shire. I designed this to be readable from anywhere in the large room and was a very nice touch to the dining room for the hobbit themed party.
"Beth did a remarkable job creating this beautiful sign for my birthday party. I love the calligraphy-style lettering and detailed illustration that Beth did on this lovely piece. It looked amazing with my Hobbit and Middle-earth themed decorations, and I enjoyed having it on display even well after my party!"

Happy Easter Chalk Sign

I created this chalk sign for my church's Resurrection Sunday photo op. I used pastel chalk markers to letter the message in an elegant script that complimented the backdrop and added a touch of artistry to a joyful day.
"I was so impressed with the sign that accompanied our Easter back-drop at church this year. The beautiful hand-lettering, date, and details were a wonderful addition to our photos. The sign helped us capture beautiful memories that we will cherish for many years!"

Capital M

Inspired by the style of Arts and Crafts illuminated books, I created this ornate initial letter with swirling foliage and a strong serif letter.
